rocks were their 'thing' today

the bees knees.... err um, toes?

Jayden got stung or bit by something today in the backyard. i feel so bad for him. one minute he was following me around, and the next he was screaming and clinging to me. when i finally calmed him down (and after calling Jason & my Mom). i noticed his second toe on his left foot was swollen, and a few minutes later his foot started to swell. Mom suggested i put ice on it and to watch him to make sure it didnt get worse. (while i was trying to calm Jayden down, Peyton came over to us and showed Jayden a picture he had made on his Etch a Sketch to make him feel better) Peyton is so sweet. i gave both boys an icepop hoping it would cheer Jayden up a little and help me look at his foot a little better. his poor foot has had a rough couple of days.... he stubbed his big toe yesterday and now the toe next to it is swollen. his foot looks a little swollen as well. poor little Jay.thank goodness for icepops! they always help the pain go away a little faster.he seems to be doing better now. he is walking with a little limp and is really tired.... he's napping right now. i will check him again when he wakes up, but i am pretty sure he is ok.

i took this picture right before the nasty bee attacked Jayden's foot. i was trying to get some sunflare through our tree. try, try, again.

two of his (many) favorite things....

Jayden will spend the whole morning in the sandbox.... .with the Texas heat so bad right now, it worries me how he can play and play without cooling off.it takes me picking him up and taking him to the pool for him to tear himself away from the sandbox and his trucks.

party time!

waiting for the party to start was the hardest thing ever today....will the party ever start? ok mommy stop with the photos! (Bunny made Jayden's 3 shirt. i LOVE it!)the Curious George cake... Jayden was so excited to see all of the CG decorations when he woke up from his nap! before everyone got here we took a few pictures together as well. i always like to do this early, just incase it's too crazy when we actually get to the cake at the party. Jayden was obviously excited!and then, not so much.finally Bunny and Poppy showed up.... and with the cutest Curious George shirts ever! (Bunny made them just for today!)both boys got so many great gifts! after visiting and playing for a little while we all went outside to swim.... and to see the Curious George pinata Bunny made.she did such a great job! the boys gave him a hug, then it was time to HIT HIM! at first Jayden went easy on George....then he really got into it.now Peyton's turn. he knocked him down!then they got a bigger bat.and it worked!lots of prizes, and animal cookies!a little later i found Peyton and Poppy inside playing games. Peyton loves his Poppy! then it was time for cake, and to make a wish.
Peyton was so happy for Jayden today....he helped him with everything. it was a great birthday party with family today!

good morning birthday boy! Jayden was surprised to wake up to singing and a cupcake this morning. i hung his birthday signs last night. (Bunny, thank you for making them in time for Jayden's birthday! they are so nice!)Jayden was more than excited to open his gifts!SOO SOO excited! it didnt take him long to start ripping into his presents.a Curious George movie! his favorite!Peyton got a few presents too.both boys got a bubble mower.... Peyton was so happy!although Jayden was more in love with his new George!Peyton was a great helper.a new puzzle!he LOVES puzzles!soo happy with all of his cool new toys!it seems the bubble mower boxes were more fun than the mowers themselves! they walked around the house forever like this.ready to try out his new goggles and swim suit!we had lunch outside....and after naps, Paw Paw came over and the boys opened more gifts.... some were from Aunt Tracy & Uncle Scott and some from Paw Paw. new swim shorts from Aunt Tracy and Uncle Scott!what is this, money?
there's got to be something better than money in here....ooohhh!a new 'shooter' from Paw Paw. the boys LOVE them!and a new movie from Aunt Tracy and Uncle Scott! the boys got so many nice things from them!time to put the mowers away for the night.... the boys didnt want to put them in the garage, they insisted they put them on daddy's trailer next to his mowers.such a busy day for a 3 year old.
tomorrow is Jayden's Curious George birthday party! i cant believe my baby is 3! i love you Jayden. Happy 3rd Birthday sweet boy!
