i can't get enough....

of my sleeping baby.'they' say not to wake a sleeping baby.i don't think it's because babies NEED sleep. i think it's because the people who wrote those books, just couldn't get themselves to do it.most parent's need sleep, but they CHOOSE not to get it, for moments like this.i took my baby out of his bed today, just so i could hold him.it was totally worth losing sleep over.

king of the horse?

i'm not sure what the game was, but they were cracking up at eachother.i can't get enough of them playing together.too cute!

i couldn't help myself, yesterday while Jayden was sleeping i took a picture of him. he was in a pair of his halloween pjs. bones! (they glow in the dark). he's so comfy in his bed all the time. i swear i might climb in with him someday.btw the reason Jayden has the same sheet on his bed in every picture i take is because we have a few of the same ones. this one is one of my favorites for Jayden's room. i am sooo glad we bought few of them. my mom made the bumper pad for Jayden's crib. she also made Peyton's bumper pad. they are soo cute! Jayden's is green and brown and Peyton's is blue and brown. i will have to take a picture of the boy's rooms again soon. Peyton's room is going to get a total makeover sometime after the new year. it is almost time for a big boy bedroom. i can't believe it!

Jayden

well little boy you are 16 months now! hard to believe how fast it has gone. you are doing so much and eat everything now. even things you shouldn't, like crayons, paint, play doh, dirt, pretty much anything we play with you want to know how it tastes. you started eating with a spoon about a week ago. one morning when i was feeding you oatmeal you took the spoon from me, turned it upside down and put it in your mouth. (you get the upside down spoon thing from Daddy. he does the same thing when he eats oatmeal!) yesterday while i was changing your diaper i asked you to say cat and you repeated with a 'caaa'. then i asked you to say dog and you said 'daaa'. then i asked you to say 'more', you made a little noise that could have been 'more' in baby talk. it is so cute how you want to repeat everything. you are VERY vocal. you 'talk' constantly. whenever you hear anyone say bye you put your hand up, wave, and say 'bye bye'. you also say 'uh-Oh' when you drop something. there is so much you are doing and saying it is hard to keep up with it all. did i mention you started to whistle when you were about 7 mths old? you still do it every once in awhile. it has always cracked us up!and of course, you LOVE to play! you play with cars and make noises as you roll them on the floor. you do the same thing with airplanes. it's so cute to see your little hand in the air, flying toy airplanes around. you love real airplanes as well. whenever we are outside playing and you hear an airplane fly over you stop whatever you are doing and point at it in sky, then make your airplane noise. you pick up books and look through them and point at the words and pictures like you are reading. i read 'Sleepy Dog' to you every night. we usually read it a couple of times. i love watching you look at the pictures. i still sing to you as i am putting you to bed. you have always been so good at putting yourself to sleep. ever since you were tiny i would lay you down and you would soothe yourself to sleep with your blankies and your lolly. right now i hear you in your crib. i just put you down for your afternoon nap. your cd player is on and you are making the little 'video game' noises you make when you are tired. you will put yourself to sleep in a few minutes with all of your blankies wrapped around you. don't grow too much today little baby. i love you!

it's starting

i have officially started Christmas shopping this week. i have found a couple of things for the boys, my family, and an advent calendar at legoshop.com. although the calendar isn't a Christmas present. i saw it last year and thought it would be great for the boys. i finally bought it online last night. i saw it in Downtown Disney as well. made me want it even more! i want it to be one of the things the boys look forward to every year; counting down the days to Christmas. there is one more thing we are going to start this year to help count down the days. it has to do with an elf that will be showing up here soon. i don't know all of the details yet, but from what i understand it should be pretty fun for the boys.

Jayden before we left to drop Peyton off at pre-school yesterday. he carries his blankie around and takes it with us in the car.he is so tired by the time we leave and usually sleeping by the time we get home. i carry him into his room to finish his nap. i love it! he is such a snuggle baby.

Peyton had a fever yesterday when he got home from pre-school. so sad. he fell asleep on the couch when he got home. i carried him to his bed and let him nap for a couple of hours.

he had a fever again this morning, so i let both boys stay in their pjs most of the morning. they painted and colored at the table. it was Jayden's first time to paint today. he had fun painting, then had fun trying to EAT the paint. we made turkeys with our hands yesterday. they are on the table as well.
so cute how Peyton sticks out his tongue when he is working hard on something.i love watching them together. they are such good boys.
Jayden today at naptime. bottom up again. i can not get enough of this!the playroom WAS clean this morning. see what two boys can do in one day! CRAZY messy!

naptime

while the boys are napping i am usually here on the computer looking at, or uploading, pictures of the boys. i realized today that i have been taking a lot of pictures of Jayden sleeping. i did the same thing when Peyton was a baby. Jason and I always say that the boys grow when they sleep. so i take pictures of them sleeping a lot. like i can stop them from growing for a second.

stop growing so fast. just sleep and be a little boy as long as you can.

loves his blankies

Aunt Waverly made this blanket for Jayden. Jayden loves sleeping with it. Obviously. It is so funny to go into his room during naps or in the morning and see him wrapped up in it.

naptime

i love watching Peyton sleep. will there ever be a time where i don't sneak in on him to watch him sleep? i remember when Peyton was a newborn i would hope and pray he'd sleep all night and have great naps. which i still do, but i catch myself getting excited about his naps being over soon. it's like i can't wait to see him and play with him again. i really can't believe how much i love him. it's crazy baby love.

thanksgiving

this morning we hung out and played. Peyton loves his 'clown school' toy. when he kicks it the music plays. i don't know why we call it clown school. it's just fish swimming around. the music is a little silly though.

he watched the thanksgiving parade and took a nap.

just relaxing before we have to get ready to go. the cutest present ever!

this evening we went to my parent's house for dinner. it was fun, and really busy!

Peyton had a great time with Bunny & Poppy today! he loves them so much!

me and my baby.

i love my little family!

Happy Thanksgiving!
