cuteness
while Peyton is at pre-school Jayden and i spend time together playing. he LOVES climbing in chairs. (notice how well his head healed from the last time he climbed in a chair, and fell. it healed really fast. thank goodness!)
he had so much fun with Peyton's sunglasses.

Jason comes home for lunch and gets to spend a little time with us before we have to get Peyton from pre-school. Jayden loves spending time with him as well.

welcome home
Jason came home today. it is so great to see him. my parents brought him home from the airport since his flight came in during the boy's nap. it's so funny how we missed eachother so much. we've been married almost 5 years. you would think we would welcome a break from eachother. but it was strange here without him and he missed us like crazy too.
as soon as he got home he got right into his car and went and leased an apartment for his Dad. i guess this is really happening. i am really glad too. Randy has been talking about moving here since Peyton was born. i am so glad he is going to get to see the boys grow up and just be down the street so we can visit when we want. Jason even mentioned that his sister Tracy might come and visit us soon. the boys are going to LOVE her. Peyton met her and Uncle Scott once when he was a baby. it will be so great for both boys to see their Aunt Tracy. hopefully one day Scott will be able to visit too.
this afternoon the boys were SO excited to see Jason walk into the door. both of them hugged him a lot and Peyton kept saying 'i miss you'. Jayden screamed like he does when he gets excited. Jason and i had a glass of wine and watched the boys play the rest of the afternoon. we are SO glad he is home!

santa, rudolph, & frosty
every year Santa visits Jason's school the week before Christmas. today was the day for him to be there again so i got the boys ready and we met Jason at his school. Santa was a little delayed because of the weather so we watched Jason's 5th grade PE class play a game in the gym. Peyton even got to play with them. he had a really good time helping.
Jayden had fun watching. he got to play a little bit too.
it was really foggy this morning and Santa usually comes by helicopter.
but because of the weather Santa, Rudolph, Frosty, and the gang came by car.
They all stopped to talk to the boys.
High Five Rudolph!
Peyton was so excited to see Santa again.

us
on most evenings we are outside in the backyard playing. the weather got chilly today, so it took a little more time to get ourselves out the door. the boys LOVE playing outside.
they climb, four wheel, ride bikes, dig in the dirt, pretty much whatever they can find to do, they do it. it is usually a great time for Jason and i to sit down and relax and enjoy it all.
i remember last year at this time i was looking forward to seeing Peyton and Jayden play together. now here they are, all over the place and constantly playing!
we take lots of pictures of them playing, obviously. sometimes it is still hard to believe we are here with our two boys! it still feels like yesterday when we were talking about having kids.
they grow up so fast! i remember after i had Peyton so many people would tell me 'it goes fast, enjoy it' and i would think, 'no way he's a tiny baby, and this is slow'. with no sleep and a tiny baby everything seemed like it went really slow at the time. now here we are! Peyton is 3 and Jayden is 16 months.
when my sisters and i were little we thought if we hairsprayed our kittens they wouldn't get bigger. i wonder if it works for little boys too.

shadows
whenever Jason works in the yard Peyton follows him around like a shadow. if Jason has his mower, Peyton will get his mower and follow him around the front and back yard. just this past week Jayden started doing the same thing. looks like Jason has another (smaller) shadow.
Nov. 9th- mowing the front yard (& sidewalk).

Nov 12th- raking the backyard

3 shots please
when Jason got home from work today i had us all go get flu shots. Jayden already had his shot at his last well check visit, and i wanted to get ours out of the way before too much time passed.
i told myself last year that we would all get flu shots this year. last year Jayden was a newborn and i wasn't comfortable with him getting one.
i told Peyton where we were going and he got excited saying 'i get a flu shot!' he said it all the way to the clinic and even after he got it. he didn't cry or anything. i promised him a lollypop after his shot. maybe that had someting to do with it, but i really think he just thought getting the shot was exciting.
there was a little girl in the waiting room who was VERY upset about getting her shot. she was crying saying she didn't want one. Peyton felt so bad for her and even walked over to her at one point to give her, her shoe that had fallen off while her mom was holding her. Peyton is such a sweet boy and doesn't like to see people upset. we will have to go back in about a month to get Peyton a booster shot since this was his first time to ever get it.
i really don't like winter time and staying in all the time. germs are everywhere but seem worse in the winter months. thank goodness for antibacterial soaps and shopping cart covers! what a huge difference a year makes though. last year at this time i was carrying around an almost 4 month old. now Jayden is walking around, trying to talk, and cracking us up! he has got to be the funniest baby i have ever seen. Peyton is our serious baby. he was SO cute with the way he would think about things he was going to do. he was always, and still is, so determined to do things and really puts his mind to doing whatever is important to him. that's why i think, he was a late talker. he was so focused on walking and doing other things. talking just wasn't important to him at the time. so funny to think that now. i catch myself telling him to 'sshhhh' or 'Peyton stop talking so much.' i never would have thought i would be saying those things to him when he was two.
Jayden is already saying wow, mama, dada, bye bye, yay, and hi. he tries saying other words too. like if we ask him to say 'star' or 'book' he will repeat it in his little way of repeating. it's so cute! i am going to miss him being one. i love this age so much. it is when i really start to see a personality and who they are going to be. Jason and i talked about having another baby tonight. (like if we could, would we.) i told him that i probably wouldn't want another one, even if we knew he or she would be healthy and the pg was great. Jason agreed with me. we are blessed to have the boys we have. i always wanted two boys and still, to this day, can not believe i have them (& Jason too). all of them are the best things to ever happen to me.
i MAY start my new 'job' tomorrow. yay! the lady i use to work for (Katie) asked if i would like to make some extra holiday money working from home. (um yeah i do!) she is supposed to come over tomorrow and tell me what she needs done. it is going to be so nice, (i hope) working from home and making some money again. i just have to make sure i get it all done. it is SO EASY to put things aside when the boys are wanting to play.

news, pics, & pink hair
this morning Jason left for work telling me he was going to come home with pink hair this afternoon. right as he got to work i got a phone call from him saying he was going to be on Good Day, Fox 4 this morning. too funny! so i turned on the tv and pushed record on the dvr. i told Peyton Daddy was going to be on tv. we waited and got ready for pre-school in front of the tv so we wouldn't miss it. once it came we saw Jason's pink head and Peyton started saying 'Daddy's in a movie!' the news people talked to the principal then scanned the camera over to the guys. Jason was sitting there with his pink hair. Peyton was SO excited. he made me rewind it and watch it again before we had to leave. in the car on the way to school he kept saying 'Daddy in a movie!'
teachers going pink for a cause
Jason came home for lunch and spent a little time with me and Jayden. His hair was definitely PINK. it was for a good cause. the kids in his school were told if they raised a certain amount of money Coach Mester and some other guy teachers would color their hair pink for the day. i showed the video to Jason when he got home.
Peyton came home with his pre-school picture (proofs) today. could he be cuter!
