3 shots please

when Jason got home from work today i had us all go get flu shots. Jayden already had his shot at his last well check visit, and i wanted to get ours out of the way before too much time passed.

i told myself last year that we would all get flu shots this year. last year Jayden was a newborn and i wasn't comfortable with him getting one.

i told Peyton where we were going and he got excited saying 'i get a flu shot!' he said it all the way to the clinic and even after he got it. he didn't cry or anything. i promised him a lollypop after his shot. maybe that had someting to do with it, but i really think he just thought getting the shot was exciting.there was a little girl in the waiting room who was VERY upset about getting her shot. she was crying saying she didn't want one. Peyton felt so bad for her and even walked over to her at one point to give her, her shoe that had fallen off while her mom was holding her. Peyton is such a sweet boy and doesn't like to see people upset. we will have to go back in about a month to get Peyton a booster shot since this was his first time to ever get it.

i really don't like winter time and staying in all the time. germs are everywhere but seem worse in the winter months. thank goodness for antibacterial soaps and shopping cart covers! what a huge difference a year makes though. last year at this time i was carrying around an almost 4 month old. now Jayden is walking around, trying to talk, and cracking us up! he has got to be the funniest baby i have ever seen. Peyton is our serious baby. he was SO cute with the way he would think about things he was going to do. he was always, and still is, so determined to do things and really puts his mind to doing whatever is important to him. that's why i think, he was a late talker. he was so focused on walking and doing other things. talking just wasn't important to him at the time. so funny to think that now. i catch myself telling him to 'sshhhh' or 'Peyton stop talking so much.' i never would have thought i would be saying those things to him when he was two.Jayden is already saying wow, mama, dada, bye bye, yay, and hi. he tries saying other words too. like if we ask him to say 'star' or 'book' he will repeat it in his little way of repeating. it's so cute! i am going to miss him being one. i love this age so much. it is when i really start to see a personality and who they are going to be. Jason and i talked about having another baby tonight. (like if we could, would we.) i told him that i probably wouldn't want another one, even if we knew he or she would be healthy and the pg was great. Jason agreed with me. we are blessed to have the boys we have. i always wanted two boys and still, to this day, can not believe i have them (& Jason too). all of them are the best things to ever happen to me.i MAY start my new 'job' tomorrow. yay! the lady i use to work for (Katie) asked if i would like to make some extra holiday money working from home. (um yeah i do!) she is supposed to come over tomorrow and tell me what she needs done. it is going to be so nice, (i hope) working from home and making some money again. i just have to make sure i get it all done. it is SO EASY to put things aside when the boys are wanting to play.
