elf-a-fin

we got another letter from Santa the other day. he told us an elf would be showing up at our house to check on the boys. once the elf showed up Santa wanted the boys to name him and talk to him if they wanted to. it also said the boys were not allowed to play with the elf, that he was here to work and sometimes he might do sneaky things. the elf will be going back to the North Pole with Santa on Christmas eve. the first morning the elf showed up he was hanging in the kitchen above the table. at first Peyton wasn't sure about him hanging around the kitchen, but after a little while he decided to name him Elfafin. Jayden walked into the kitchen and waved 'hi' to him then went on his way. Elfafin has moved a couple of times. once he was on the television in the living room holding Peyton's boot. Peyton thought it was funny, but wanted his boot back. right now Elfafin is hanging on our Christmas tree. Peyton says he is trying to climb to the top.the Lego advent calendar i ordered finally came about a week ago. it has really been fun for the boys. Peyton looks forward to opening a new door everyday. the calendar itself is just a big cardboard box, so i bought a train advent calendar we will use every year for the lego pieces. Peyton and Jayden LOVE it. we have watched The Polar Express a lot lately. (a treat if the boys finish all of their dinner. which they always do). so the train advent calendar is that much more fun for them. once Peyton is done playing with the new lego we put it up on the train. Jayden likes to taste test them if we don't put them out of his reach.
