tuesday

Jayden and i just dropped Peyton off at pre-school. Jayden falls asleep on the way home and i carry him in and let him finish his nap in his crib. i love holding him while he sleeps. he is a snuggle baby. the other night he woke up crying. i am pretty sure it was because of his teeth, molars. (fun stuff). it was around 11:00pm or so when he woke. i had already been sleeping about an hour. i went to his room and rocked him, which i have not had to do in a looong time. he was so comfy on me sleeping. i just watched him in the dark and listened to him breathe.

we have come such a long way in the past three years. it amazes me that Peyton is in pre-school now, and that Jayden is walking around, playing, and laughing all the time. this morning he decided that sitting in the shoe basket was the best seat in the house.
when 'they' told me time flies, they weren't kidding. Jason and i will be married 5 years this April. it's so funny how planning our wedding was the most important thing to me for almost a full year. i look back on it now and i think of strange that was. i mean weddings are important and it was the perfect day for us. but seriously after you have children all that stuff you plan for, for that ONE day, the flowers, the dress, the food, the music, all seems silly. you get 9 months to plan for a baby and once they get here they are your life. helping them grow and hoping they make good choices when they get bigger. i had no idea how much i would love my boys. my Mom told me 'you just wait once you have your own kids you will know how much i love you.' i used to think it was just something she said. but now i know she was right. which aren't Mom's ALWAYS right? why did i question it?

i just went to check on Jayden while he was napping. this is what i found. anyone seen a baby around here? because all i see is blankies.
