Peyton

i have been putting pictures and videos onto CDs from when you were younger. it is amazing to see how far you have come in just one year! last year at this time you were just a little 2.5 year old with a new little brother. you barely talked much at all. and when you did it was your own words like: 'more nungy se' which meant 'more milk please' and you called Jayden 'gee'. it was adorable. now you are saying everything. i miss the days of little Peyton, but i love the new ones of our big boy too. you love to help clean the house and help Jayden with his toys. sometimes you even try to pick him up when he falls. you usually look at us and say 'Jay too heavy'. which we agree, he is getting bigger. one day he might even try to push you around. the other morning around 4:00am you came into our room and said 'MOMMY?'. i woke up and looked around. i thought i was dreaming since you are still sleeping in your crib and have NEVER climbed out before. but then i heard you again 'MOMMY?' you had climbed out of your crib to come tell us 'my throat ow'. i picked you up, made sure you were ok then carried you back to bed. you just laid down and went back to sleep. i have no idea if you remember it. you didn't say anything about it the next day. and haven't done it again. (which i am hoping you don't). we are really close to buying you big boy furniture. i know it is time for it, although you love your crib and never have complained about it. i guess that's why we haven't bought you a new bed yet. oh and have i mentioned how youve mastered the baby gates? youre getting smarter by the minute! pre-school has been great for you. you LOVE it there and have even cried when i have come to pick you up. ugh. which makes me feel horrible. but i guess i would rather have a child who loves pre-school than one who cries when they are dropped off. you have learned so much and love all of your teachers. you walk around the house humming the ABC's all the time. it is sooo cute! you even make me sing it with you over and over and over again. you love to look through books and have us read them to you. your favorites right now are Disney books. you have a great imagination lately. i am not sure where it came from, but it is really sweet. you have three imaginary puppies. i have heard of children having imaginary friends, but never pets. so this is new to me. it is really sweet though. your puppies go to school with us, they ride in the car, they sleep at your feet when we eat dinner too. you make me help them get into the car when we are going somewhere. you even pretend to feed them. they chase you around the yard when you are riding your four wheeler too. we hear you say 'go puppies go!' we recently bought you the 'snow buddies' movie. which you love! there are puppies in that movie so we are almost positive that is where your imaginary puppies came from. youre a good boy Peyton. we are so proud of you and we love you a lot.
