if anyone knows me at all, knows i make few friends, but the ones i make become my friend and part of me forever, and Amy is one of them. i had not seen Amy in a long time. but she is one of those people that touched my life and from what i understand, has touched many.
the next thing i knew, i got a call that Amy was doing worse and wasn't expected to make it through the night. that was two days ago and, deep down in my heart, i knew Amy was fighting for her life and wanting to get better for herself, her mom, her brother, her boyfriend, and all of her friends. she always thought of others, and i think even on her last days she still was. my heart and tears go out to them.
Amy you are an angel and have always been. rest peacefully sweet girl. i know you are hugging on your dad right now and smiling bigger and brighter than you ever did before. Heaven is brighter now that you are in it. i miss you and i thank you for all the memories we had together, hanging out, watching your beauty pageants, going to slumber parties and laughing about everything. youre a dear friend and i can only hope to see you again someday.
Amy did so much with her life and left so much behind. She started a women's ministry called The Journey Of Sisters, wrote a book called, Twice As Much In Half The Time (you can click the link to buy a copy), and was a motivational speaker as well. (click here to see a small portion of who Amy was). also, this wonderful article was written by Tom Ziglar dedicated to Amy on the night he said goodbye to her. and finally, click this link to hear Amy giving her testimony on the radio.
Amy you are truly amazing. You will be dearly missed. I love you!

my stomach hurts when I think about all of this. I just all jumbled up inside - all the words that start jumbling - not fair, too early, no babies, no husband, so much love, too much hurting, too much pain, angel here on earth, this is wrong, too early, not fair, why her, mandy's friend, mandy crying, heartbreak, no more sister, no more friend, why her??!? why now?!? stupid cancer, not fair...this freakin' sux. She was our friend. She was Mandy's friend. Don't take my sister's friend...please.
I've got all this stuff going thru my head today over and over. The words just won't stop.
It broke my heart to hear you sobbing and crying so hard. I love you Mandy.
Beautifully written! I pray that you will be comforted!
