shopping

last week my mom and i made a date to go shopping, and i was SOOO looking forward to it! now that the boys are bigger, and Jason is off for the summer. it (hopefully) will be easier for me to go do things alone or with friends & family. not that i NEED to be alone, because honestly my favorite place to be is in the backyard watching the boys play and swim. but i also cherish the time i spend with my family, and since i have had the boys i haven't had as much time to spend alone with them. so.... this summer is the time for me to catch up on shopping with my mom, visiting with my dad, and hanging out with my friends. Friday was the day mom and i had made a date to go shopping together. i had put the boys down for their nap, Jason came home from work, and i left to SHOP and eat lunch with my mom. we had a great time walking around the mall and catching up on everything. i found some little things for the boys at the Disney store. (Mickey Mouse t-shirts and a couple of souvenir cups). i will put them away until we go on our trip later in the year. i also found the boys a couple of shirts at the Gap. (i LOVE their shirts with the teddy bear emblem on them). i bought the boys some pjs at Carters as well. yeah it was a full day of shopping for the boys. i didn't plan it that way but i guess that is just how it goes when you have two little ones at home. now i understand why my mom did it for years! it's addictive AND once you become a mom you put yourself second. which (to me) is a great feeling! i did find a few things for myself. a pair of capris, sunglasses and a really cute shirt. Mom and i had a great time and we plan on doing it again in a week or so. i am soooo excited about doing this more!

when i got home the boys were swimming and it was time for them to come in, take a bath, and eat dinner. after their bath i let them wear their new pjs. Peyton was SOOO excited about his new baseball pjs, and Jayden made monster sounds when he saw the crab on his. (i am loving the crab t-shirts and pajamas they have out this summer for kids!) i took pictures of the boys in their pjs. they were so happy! kind of blurry but way cute. i love the way Jayden looks at Peyton. he loves his big brother!MAMA!they're so silly together.i love this one. Peyton rolled over and hugged Jayden. he use to hug Jayden like this when Jay was a newborn. he just lays his head softly on Jaydens.
