both of my boys were swaddled as newborns, in what is now their favorite 'sheekie'. once they got to be between 6 & 9 months they learned how to UNswaddle themselves in the middle of the night and hug on them instead. (this is Peyton @12 mths still holding on tight to his swaddle blanket).Peyton also has a puppy he sleeps with, he has been sleeping with him probably since about 9 months old. but even before that, we would take 'Puppy' to the mall or on our daily outings. Peyton would snuggle on him or even suck on his foot when he would get tired. (one time my mom lost Puppy at the mall. she had a fit trying to find it. thankfully someone had put him up on a shelf for her to find). even now when it's time for bed Peyton still has his sheekie in one hand and Puppy in the other. i love it.before Jayden was born i was all over the internet looking for another blanket exactly like Peytons'. after a few days of looking i found TWO, and wouldn't you know it, but after just a few months Jayden got attached to BOTH of them. he is also attached to a blue & orange stuffed duck. i bought 'Ducky' when i was pregnant with Jayden. it was right after Easter when i found it and at the time i had no idea how special this duck would be to all of us. he watched over Jayden in the NICU when we couldnt. and now he watches over him in his crib. Ducky is definitely a part of our family now.while i was going through pictures i came across this one of Jayden. i miss this.they grow way too fast.
