meet the teacher

today was meet the teacher at Peyton's pre-school. Peyton woke up early this morning ready to go and asking if he was going to get to play on the playground. (probably because it rained a lot last night and he remembers from last year that when it rained they didnt go on the playground, instead they would play in the gym. which is also fun.... but he REALLY LOVES the playground). we werent sure what they would do so we told him it was up to his teacher. he seemed to be fine with our answer. i was glad he was excited about meeing his teacher and some new friends.... and i was glad i wasnt as nervous as i was last year at this time.

Grandpa came over early to babysit Jayden. meet the teacher is about 2.5 hours, way too long for Jayden to be in the stroller. he would have gotten bored pretty fast, i am SO thankful Grandpa could come over to babysit this morning. Peyton was SO READY to go!

we arrived a little early so i took my chance to take a couple of pictures.

Peyton was SO excited to get inside the school. i am surprised he stood still for me.just a couple more....
i could seriously take pictures of him all day.... wait, i kinda do!
meet the teacher went very well! i dropped Peyton off in his classroom and met his teacher then i had to go to the chapel for a meeting. while i was in the meeting Peyton, his new classmates, and his teacher did a few things in the classroom then went outside to play on the PLAYGROUND! i was so happy to hear they got to go outside, i know Peyton was probably excited as well.

once we got home we played and talked with G-pa a little. the boys were tired and went right down for their naps. Peyton not only napped, but brought a sheet and pillow out to the couch to rest some more. i guess meet the teacher really wore him out today.the first day of pre-school doesn't start until next week. i am sooo glad today is Friday and we have a three day weekend ahead of us. we have plans this weekend to look for Halloween costumes and some more school clothes for Peyton. i REALLY love summer, but i really look forward to fall as well.
