my friend
Anne Marie and i talk almost every night.... usually about photography. both of us have a slight obsession, ok a HUGE obsession for it. (she's REALLY good!) last night she mentioned how we should give ourselves projects. kind of like the 'bench monday' project i do every week on flickr and on my
365 blog. which is basically taking a picture of someone standing on a bench, or something like it, every monday. so last night as we were talking, Anne mentioned a project called Day In The Life (DITL). basically you take pictures throughout your day. 7:30>wake up>take a picture, 8:30>make breakfast>take a picture.... and so on. its going to be a big project but i am going to try it as soon as i get my NEW LENS! (WOO HOO! i will blog about that later i am sure). soooo this morning i woke up thinking i wanted to do one small project. recently i had seen a picture on flickr that i LOVE by my favorite photographer,
Jude. the photo is of a woman wearing only jeans and holding her naked 1 year old baby. you could only see her waist, her jeans, and her baby's little bare bottom in her mommy's hand. Ok so, Jayden is 2 and that baby had just turned 1..... i knew i couldn't do that picture exactly but i LOVE the idea. so this is what i came up with for my 'project' today.
jeans, a tank, and my boys

this is the same picture processed in photoshop with an action called chocolate.

slightly different picture.... boys are squeezing me now. i had suckers. bribery is a beautiful thing!
