location search & model fail

every time i take Peyton to pre-school i always tell myself that i need to stop at the Grapevine Botanical Gardens, and the Tarantula Train Station, in hopes to find good photography locations. so today we FINALLY went. the Botanical Gardens is beautiful. so we let the boys lead the way, and we followed.
it was hard keeping up with them. i started to get the feeling that this 'photo shoot' was more of a location search than anything.
they finally stopped at the waterfall. the koi fish were amazing! notice i'm only getting the backside of the boys?
we tried to get them to sit down for a photo.... Jayden was not having it. so i took the best snapshot i could before they both took off again. this is proof that i DO have moments when they are DONE with me and the camera.
our next stop.... the train tracks! was i going to get a good picture here? nope! the boys were just NOT in the mood today. (which i don't blame them. we had two or three photo shoots at home already this week. i was starting to worry that i had been fired.)Peyton, PEYTON! look at mommy! PLEASE!well, he DID look at me.and Jayden FINALLY looked at me too. this is the best i got from him all day.BOYS look at mommy! come on! it's the last picture! pleeeasseee....

on a positive note: Jayden told me he loved me for the first time today.
Me: 'Jayden, I love you!'
Jayden: 'oooh too!'
then i repeated myself to see if he would say it again, and he did. i love today!
