CT scan....

first off.... i have been trying my best to blog, even though i said i was going to take a break for awhile. basically what i am doing is uploading my pics SOOC (straight out of camera) or editing through flickr, so it doesnt really take much time or effort to do. (usually i edit every picture, but i just dont have the time or energy to do it right now). so bare with me.... i am trying to keep up with this as much as i can!

yesterday i had blood work done on my pancreas and found out the levels went up from where it was last time it was checked. (it was at 94, and from what i understand it is supposed to be around 40). i dont know ANYTHING about the pancreas except it stores energy from food.... and lately i dont have ANY! so my dr called and told us i needed to have a CT scan STAT! so this morning we made the call and went in to get it done. it was similar to an MRI except i didnt have to worry about moving or breathing too much. first i had to drink a solution that tasted like bad fruit punch, then i laid on a table, had an IV put in my arm, and was rolled into a big machine for a few minutes. it went pretty fast. the worst part was the IV. i cant tell you how tired i am of people sticking me with needles! but whatever it takes, i will do it. it was over fast and by the end of the day we got the phone call we had been waiting for. they talked to Jason and told him they had found a cyst on my liver and wanted me to come in for another check-up. they dont seem to concerned about the cyst right now and didnt say anything about my pancreas. i have another dr appointment next week.

today is my Mom's birthday.... we got the phone call on our way to my parent's house to celebrate. the call was short because we had just pulled up in their driveway and i honestly just wanted to spend time with my parents. it was so great to see their faces when we told them i was ok. we still have questions for the doctors, but from what we understand the CT scan shows i am fine. i still have a little pain in my abdomen and shoulder and still feel pretty bad in the morning when i wake up, but i am A LOT better than i was a few weeks ago! its nice to be back to my old routine with the boys. we play outside in the pool and are enjoying the summer. it has been SO GREAT playing with them again, and even seeing them play together. Jayden has been especially close to me lately. he snuggles with me a lot more now and asks me to sit with him all the time. Peyton has been really careful around me, making sure he doesnt hurt me and asks a lot if i am feeling better. Jason continues to do SO MUCH around here and has taken such good care of all of us through this whole thing.

i will keep blogging as much as i can. thank you for all of your thoughts and prayers!
