in the past month youve gotten taller, and a little leaner. which kills me because i love your baby belly. it sticks out over your diaper. you have some great rolls in your legs too. those have gotten smaller as well. the rolls on your wrists are long gone now. i loved them. the sun would tan your arms and leave a line where your little roll was, like a bracelet. so cute.
you are picking on Peyton like crazy now. which is funny because you are still half his size. somehow you find a way to beat him on the head with a toy, or climb on him so he can't get up. Peyton usually laughs about it, but there have been times where he has asked me to put you in time out because of it. and yes.... you have been in time out. only a handful of times, or maybe not even that much. it usually doesn't last long because i end up laughing at you. you put on a great act of 'trying to be sad'. it's cute. and you know it's cute because you look at me and smile with that little dimple in your cheek. gets me EVERY time!
you still love playing outside, digging in the dirt, riding your four wheeler, and climbing up and down the ladder to your house. you even try to ride Peyton's scooter and skateboard sometimes. youve sampled birdseed, bubbles, dog treats, and mud. you love eating sand, i think it is your favorite. you have also tried eating mulch from the garden. there really isn't much you haven't tried. except poop. one day i caught you with dog poop IN YOUR HAND! i wasn't calm. i freaked out. i am sure i washed your hands 100 times that day. i like to think you didn't have plans on eating it. it is the only way i can get past it.... you DID NOT have plans on eating it. period.
speaking of eating. (and changing the subject). you LOVE playing kitchen. the other day when daddy and i were getting ready to paint we set up your kitchen, with food and all of the utensils. you played for hours and had a ball making tea and setting the table. you even had me sit down with you a couple of times so we could eat together. youre a good chef little Jay.
i still wrap you in your big green & brown 'sheekie' at night and for naps, and carry you to bed. i lay you on the couch and wrap you up. i sing our song (the same one i sang to Peyton when he was a baby. i made it up and both of you love it). you watch me sing while i rub your head. i watch your eyes get droopy and sometimes you even touch my face. then i pick you up and carry you to bed. i am going to miss singing to you someday. i hope those days aren't over for a long time. i am not quite ready to give that up yet.
well little Jayden youre (sadly) getting bigger, funnier, and cuter by the minute. and even though i know youre growing up, i will probably always treat you like a baby. so.... prepare yourself.... no matter how big you get, how old you are, or how 'cool' you become growing into a 'big boy', you will ALWAYS be my baby. i will always hug you, kiss you, and tell you i love you.
happy 20 mths sweet boy!
