the past month was fun, and went way too fast. it seems like your first (almost) two years have flown by. you have grown so much it is amazing. i still have the picture of Peyton feeding you a bottle on my screen saver. you were so small with your little hands curled up on your chest.now you are SO big, feeding yourself, even with a fork and spoon. you love to scream at me when i forget to give you one. you will say 'na na nana' until i get you one. you even point at your tray when you are eating t let us know WHERE you want your food. basically you say nana for anything you want. there are times where you have SCREAMED it at us, with your hands going crazy, until we FOLLOW you to get whatever it is you were looking for. for someone who only has a few words, you sure do know the way you want things. i'm sorry we don't understand your secret little language sometimes. when i ask you to say things like cat, dog or even banana, you repeat the best you can. i love the way you say banana and potato. you definitely know how to express yourself. it cracks us up, as well as anyone else who hears you. you love to flirt with all the nice ladies when we are shopping. they love you. they love the way you smile, laugh and talk to them, even though they have no idea what youre saying. when they walk away you usually scream 'BYE' with a little Texas accent. it really is cute. daddy and i have started to notice how you have your own take on things. like when we painted Easter eggs, instead you made an Easter egg finger puppet. or when we finger painted with pudding, you decided to paint your belly. and when we put water in the water table, you dip your face in it and drink it like a puppy. i love that you have your own way of doing things. it's good to be a leader and do things your own way. you also love to put ANYTHING on your face, it can be swim goggles or even a ball in your mouth, then you proceed with saying 'grrr' with your hands out. it is your way of playing 'monster'.i get excited about seeing you grow up, but at the same time miss the baby you were. you are slowly growing out of all of your 'baby things'. you haven't been in your swing in about a month or so. and the only reason you were in it is because you were having a hard time falling asleep for your nap, you were sick, so i let you relax in your swing and watch the Backyardigans. it still feels like yesterday that i was putting you in it every day to sleep.i still put you in your exersaucer every night before bed.you love to relax in it and hold your blankets. i read to you and we brush your teeth. (you love the Gymboree Animal Actions book right now. you make the noises the animals make. it's soo cute.) i don't know when we will stop relaxing in the exersaucer at night. it has been our night time routine since you were big enough to be in it. i'm not ready to give it up, and i am pretty sure you are ok with it right now too.i love how you look like such a baby when youre tired, and such a big boy when you are running around with Peyton. i hope you have a good 21st month little boy. i love you a lot.
