Father's Day!

today started out with Jason opening a few presents, or i guess it was more Peyton and Jayden opening presents, and Jason watching. it wasn't too exciting since he already knew what he was getting. he came home the other day with a few shirts and a few pair of shorts for himself, so i wrapped them up and he got to pretend he had no idea what they were. fun stuff! i did buy him one gift that was a small surprise. i bought him some solar lights to go around the pool.

we decided to go with Jason to get his hair cut. while he was inside the salon i let the boys run around outside and play a little. (i don't like the boys playing with toys in the salon. who knows what has been touching them. kinda grosses me out). so we play outside.when Jason was done we decided to walk down to Market Street for a few things we needed, or just wanted. you can always find goodies you don't really NEED at Market Street. Jayden sure does love the lollipops they give out at the salon! makes for one sticky boy when he is done.then we came home, swam a little, ate lunch, then it was naptime for the boys. our day was SOO exciting so far. haha. but we like our relaxing days of doing things together. we don't get many of them since Jason is always so busy working.

after the boys woke up from their naps we packed up the diaper bag, cameras, snacks, sippy cups, and presents and got ready to go over to my parent's house for a secret surprise birthday party for Mom and for Father's Day as well. before we left we took a few pictures (of course) and gave a few presents to Grandpa. he came over to ride with us to my parent's house. the boys are always so excited to see him. which is so funny because we see Grandpa almost every day. they love him so much!needless to say, Mom was REALLY surprised with her party. between my two boys and Brook's huge crowd of kids, it was crazy at their house. there were kids running and playing everywhere. we finally got everyone to calm down enough to give Mom her gift. all of us (me, Jason, Brook, Dale and Dad) chipped in and bought Mom a new computer. hers had crashed about a week ago and there was NOOO getting it back. it was down right OLD and DONE! Mom was so excited. i could tell she didn't really know what to say or do. it was so great seeing her so surprised. the kids were good considering Mom and Dad's house isn't near babyproof at all. i am amazed every time we go over there nothing gets broken. or, if it does, they don't let us know about it. they are such great parents & Grandparents to everyone.finally it was time for cake and ice cream. not that any of the little ones needed anymore sugar in their tiny bodies. Jayden and Peyton LOVED the ice cream and cake. they couldn't get enough.you can tell we don't serve ice cream much at our house.and Jayden is obviously still working on his spoon skills.oops!it was a great Father's Day and great surprise Birthday for Mom. i really had a good time visiting with everyone. i am so thankful for everyone in my life. i love all of you!

Looks like a great day!

Thanks so much for your comments... but are you kidding me? I think I have a long way to go to get my portraits as beautiful as the ones you take of your boys!!! :) You're a very talented photographer.
