just fun

we decided to do something different today since it is SO hot out and we just didn't feel like swimming again. so we took the boys to Grapevine Mills to ride the carousel. Peyton LOVES it, and Jayden has never been on it before so of course i took my camera.

of course Peyton had a ball on the carousel. he got to ride it all by himself, (without Jason holding on to him this time). Jason stayed close to Jayden. Jayden had a ball as well! he was pretty quiet through the whole thing. but from what i could tell he will probably want to ride it again someday. we decided to take the boys to Chilis after riding the carousel. (we haven't been to a restaurant in FOREVER with the boys). they did really well, and Jason and i were really impressed! they colored, ate, and drank their juice. we decided to let Jayden get some energy out and let him walk. or more like run/skip. he was so happy!both boys had fun playing on the steps.we bought some ice cream.and sat on a bench in the middle of the mall to eat it. they are so good at sharing. we've been working with both of them on taking turns.then it was time to go.... Jayden was obviously not having it. he ran from Jason thinking it was a game. GOT HIM!
me and my boys!we had a good time and decided to take a drive to the lake after we left the mall. (the boys got new sunglasses today). the lake looked so nice today. made us want to buy a boat.... maybe someday.this is The Gaylord Hotel. very nice, although we have never stayed there, we took a tour once when Peyton was a baby. a great way to get little boy energy out. let them walk the halls at a HUGE hotel. dancing in the car. Jayden is not afraid to dance!Peyton, on the other hand, gets a little shy.Jayden started to get sleepy, so we went home.
