around Thanksgiving last year an elf (named Elfafin, by Peyton) showed up at our house to watch over the boys until Christmas Eve.... then he flew back to the North Pole with Santa. well.... this afternoon we found a letter from Santa in the mailbox.
he told the boys he would be watching over them and that Elfafin would be showing up soon to watch over them again this year. Santa also mentioned that Elfafin likes to do mischievous things sometimes. one last thing he added (which was not really written in the letter) was he left a surprise for the boys in the front yard. the boys were so excited to find two Christmas soldiers!
Peyton was so curious to know when Elfafin would show up.... and after dinner he spotted something outside the window.
ELFAFIN!
that night before bed Peyton was a little concerned about Elfafin coming to his bedroom window. i had to reassure him that Elfafin wouldn't do things like that, that he only did fun things. the next day there were crafts on the dining room table. i told Peyton he was supposed to clean up after himself when he and Jayden did crafts.... Peyton said 'i didn't do it!'
both boys were so excited to see that someone had made snowflakes with glitter, colored pictures and left a movie (Santa Buddies) for them.
after looking around a little bit ,
Peyton spotted Elfafin on the chandelier.
uh oh someone is looking a little worried again....
Peyton and Jayden loved touching and looking at the crafts. Peyton even noticed that on one of the papers Elfafin had written their names and colored a picture of Santa. we are so glad he is back again this year!
