pre-school community helper parade

last week.... (yes im behind on my blogging), Peyton had his Community Helper Parade at pre-school. he was so excited to be a fireman! i gave him a choice of a few different people he could be and 'FIREMAN MOMMY, PLEEEASE!' was his choice. so i was SO HAPPY to find a great costume at Party City(my favorite place to shop for parties and things like it!). he looked so cute and was so excited about the fireman rainboots i surprised him with right before we left for pre-school.Paw-Paw came over to babysit Jayden so i could spend the morning with Peyton and watch his class walk down main street. Peyton did his regular morning stuff. working in 'stations'.i asked him to smile for the camera and this is what a got.... a 'cheeeeese' face. i think i was interrupting his me time.it was fun to see his class so busy doing so many things.Peyton's teacher is SO GOOD. he loves her.then it was time to say the pledge, and have circle time with his teacher. she read a book and talked about community workers. then finally it was time for the parade. they were all so cute in their uniforms today.it was fun to watch them look for community workers on the street. they even looked in the windows of all of the shops. it was fun and made me want to go back to main street to shop a little.main street is a busy place.... and even busier with a bunch of 4 year olds walking around. all of the four year old classes stopped at the gazebo for pictures. it was hard getting a good one (even with my zoom lens) parents were all over the place.
it was fun watching Peyton take it all in though.
after pictures, Peyton took a break by himself on the bench.

this 'jail' is on main street. i meant to stop and read the historical marker in front of it, but i didn't want any of the kids to follow me across the street.
the teachers had the kids sit down in front of school when we got back. all of them were worn out. it was a long and windy walk for everyone.
i love spending time with Peyton at his school. two moms told me how sweet and nice Peyton is all the time. i was so proud.
